How to turn a frog into a princess

Standard

Oscar season has always been my favorite season, and the red carpet is the best part. The dresses, the hair, the makeup…all of our favorite stars look like princesses- or at least most of them. However, with a few adjustments, we could turn some of those frogs into princesses.

First up is Veerle Baetens, whose baggy dress disappointed E-online as well as viewers. With a few simple changes, she can easily look gorgeous.

Next is Penelope Cruz, who I personally think always looks gorgeous. However, I can admit that the shoulder wrap on her dress may be a bit much. ImageElsa Pataky’s dress was just unfortunate. There’s no other way I can describe it. If it just hadn’t been cinched , she would have looked gorgeous. The cinch turned a beautiful pregnant belly into a beer belly. Image

Anne Hathaway sparkled a bit too much on this red carpet. If only that shining dress had been matte…Image

Sally Hawkins’s dress was just too matronly for us viewers. Lose the high neckline and long sleeves, and maybe put it in navy to show off her gorgeous fair skin, and she’d be golden. Image

After Sally Hawkins comes Anna Kendrick. Her dress would have been gorgeous-if you had a chance to take it all in, rather then looking at all the pieces. There was just too much going on. Image

Under here are some sketches I drew of how these dresses could be improved:
